I concur. However, my boyfriend's main character is a female. Only because he hates the way the male armor looks. :\

This has nothing to do with real life. I believe at least 80% of the female chars are owned by male players. Not because they are pervs or because they consider themselves females (O.o), but because they like to see a womans butt shaking infront of them, if you will... I regret creating male warrior, really. He is ugly. And I'd love to convert that bunch of pixels to a female-looking one!

This thread is about switching your characters "sex", not anything else... That is why we are discussing it.

Wear a cape if you are afraid of man-butt. I am impartial on the sex change idea, but seriously guys, if you hate that butt in your face, just turn your cape on...

Well I actually do that. Yet my warrior is still not good looking. I also have female warrior on a second account, but it is prophecies only. She is the perfect warrior for me, see it for yourself:

:P And I wish I had her on my main account, since I don't really use the 2nd one. I would remake her but I'd take a slot I need and money I don't want to waste, I've wasted enough on my male and that girl on the screen. The best thing to do is to "convert" the male warrior to a female one If it is possible. And I'd do that for diversity with other chars too - female and male.

Btw here, see the best of my warrior:

You can see why I want to make him a female, don't you???!!!?!? !111oneoneeleven

I dunno... that's why I make all my characters resemble me somewhat (in my eyes at least, lol, the only ones with good resemblance are my necro and paragon), so that I feel like I am in the game

Heh, If they all looked like myself I'd be bored to death. On the topic : YES TO SEX SWITCHING WHENEVER WE WANT!

I'd also like a name-chaning npc, is that ok?

My girlfriend had the same issue. She wanted to make an Elementalist and considered for quite a long time making her Elementalist male because she really didn't like how unnecessarily skimpy the female Elementalist armor looked. In the end, she didn't get an Elementalist at all and went with another profession.

If you're a male and you're playing as a female just because you don't like the look of his behind, I question, not necessarily your sexual insecurity, but why you're paying attention to your character's arse more than you are paying attention to what you are supposed to be doing in-game. Namely killing, or healing.
Yes 99% of the time I'm paying attention to whats going on and not my character, but there is that 1% of the time where I am just chatting with guildies and staring at my character's behind. Its a game its not that serious if I want to have a female character there's nothing dishonest about it. I always assume I"m talking to a guy until told otherwise....although there are times when you can just tell its a girl....

/notsigned for the 1000000th time that someones mentioned this stupid idea

If you dont like the sex of your character.

MAKE A NEW ONE!!!

Stop expecting everything to be given to you on a silver-platter. If you want a new character work for it and make a new one.

You cant just click your fingers and change the sex.

Changing hair-styles and small facial changes fine...

sex changes... NO!

Well saying we should make a new character and work for it is rather impractical. IF someone put 500 hours into his male mesmer he wouldn't really be able to restart and do 500 hours for any aesthetic changes.

The ability for folks to modify thier characters after creation has been a long time want by many players, and an in game system to make this happen should be implemented. This goes for name changes as well.

Who cares if someone changes a name. if they are in your F list or ignore list they will still be there, just like folks whom A-net force to name change.
